About Lake Effect

Lake Effect ARC is a "virtual" club and members meet only over the air, by email or at radio events.

Our purpose is to promote/publicize the features of the Upper Peninsula of Michigan through small radio special events.  Lake Effect will help organize and equip special events anywhere in the UP with the hope that local hams will join in.

We are physically located in the NE corner of Sands Township, Marquette County, Michigan.

Membership in Lake Effect is free and open to anyone regardless of license class or licensing status.  Memberships are valid through December, 2012.  Member benefits include the Lake Effect Operatin' Times, an aperiodic email newsletter and ability to post comments about ham radio through the related Yahoo chat group.

Donations of money and equipment are accepted for club use.
