Bring on the Bridge! One Day A Year Labor Day Mackinac Bridge Trail Segment Walk.  North Country National Scenic Trail goes over the Mackinac Bridge. The bridge is only open to pedestrian use on Labor Day each year, so hikers who want to check off this segment of the trail need to plan to hike this 5 mile segment on Labor Day. The Hiawatha Shore-to-Shore chapter is organizing a group camp opportunity for hikers wanting to make this excursion this year.

Location: Old Mackinac County Fairgrounds near Moran, Michigan.
At intersection of S. Church Street and Brevort Lake Road:

Facilities and Services at QTH:
Primitive camping - water available just off-site; bring your bottles full; and portajohns supplied. Bring your own food.
Generator and batteries for operations.
Operating shelter.
Basic radio setup: two rigs; wire for low bands, Cushcraft vertical for high bands. 2m via HT/mobile rigs: 146.64 repeater (no tone)

North Country Trail Hikers Volunteer Trail Building Adventure
Base camp on Hwy 510 north of Marquette, MI

No operating schedule - we expect to be on in the morning (will check in with MidCars and announce a frequency on 40m),
 and early evening on 20m PSK. Operating time will be constrained by camp cookin' duties!
